At last at the end of March 2018, Chedworth gained 4G mobile from O2 and Vodaphone. It has been a long struggle, first, to get ultrafast broadband in the form of fibre-to-home from Gigaclear under the Fastershire program and, second, mobile from a pole adjoining the playing field next the Village Hall to the many not-spots in Chedworth.
Since 2011, the Society has been steadfast in advocating the provision of modern telecommunications for our community. We have world class broadband and excellent mobile albeit limited for now to two of the four national providers. Thanks to all who have supported the campaign.
